Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee electrical maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment including CNC, SPM, and VMC machines. The role focuses on ensuring high machine uptime through effective troubleshooting of electrical, control, and automation systems in an automotive/manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance Execution

  • Supervise breakdown and preventive maintenance of electrical systems in CNC, VMC, and SPM machines.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in control panels, drives, motors, sensors, and wiring systems.
  • Ensure machine electrical systems are safe, reliable, and production-ready.

Automation & CNC Control Systems

  • Troubleshoot CNC controllers (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi) and PLC systems.
  • Handle issues related to servo drives, VFDs, encoders, feedback systems, and HMIs.
  • Support machine parameter setting, backup, and restoration.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems and control panels.
  • Monitor drive performance, electrical load conditions, temperature, and signal integrity.
  • Perform predictive checks on panels, cables, and electronic components to avoid failures.

Breakdown Analysis & Improvements

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring electrical failures.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR through structured maintenance practices.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with Production, Mechanical Maintenance, and Stores for spares and support.
  • Maintain logs for breakdowns, electrical faults, and spare consumption.
  • Prepare reports on downtime, failure trends, and system improvements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and PPE usage.
  • Maintain proper earthing, panel safety, and cable management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and statutory electrical norms.

Team Management

  • Supervise electrical technicians and allocate work effectively.
  • Provide hands-on training in PLC, CNC controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Build team capability in advanced electrical maintenance practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels
  • Hands-on experience in PLC programming/troubleshooting
  • Expertise in servo systems, VFDs, and CNC controls
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Good coordination and team handling ability

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering

Experience Required

  • 2–15 years of experience in electrical maintenance of CNC / SPM / VMC machines
  • Preferably from automotive or auto components industry
