Job Summary
To plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities to ensure timely availability of materials, optimum machine utilization, and on-time delivery as per customer requirements while maintaining inventory and production efficiency targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer schedules and sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, and Quality departments for smooth execution of plans.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Plan machine loading and manpower allocation for optimum utilization.
Material Planning & Coordination
- Ensure availability of raw materials, bought-out parts, and consumables for uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for material shortages and follow-up.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid excess or shortage situations.
Production Monitoring
- Track daily production output versus plan and prepare variance reports.
- Follow up on pending production orders and bottleneck operations.
- Ensure timely closure of work orders and production entries in ERP systems.
Customer Delivery Management
- Coordinate dispatch schedules to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
- Monitor customer schedules/releases and update production plans accordingly.
- Support urgent customer requirements and expedite production when required.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain PPC MIS reports, production status reports, and planning records.
- Prepare reports related to production efficiency, schedule adherence, and inventory status.
- Maintain planning data in ERP/MRP systems accurately.
Continuous Improvement
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and inventory control practices.
- Participate in production improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Preferred Industry Experience
- Automobile / Auto Components Manufacturing Industry
Qualification
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
Experience
- 2 to 6 years of experience in PPC / Production Planning within the automobile or auto component industry.
