Job Summary
Madras Engineering Industries Private Limited is looking for an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to manage and support end-to-end HR operations at our manufacturing facility located in Mahindra World City, Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to recruitment, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations, and HR administration in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Handle end-to-end recruitment process for staff and workmen positions.
- Coordinate manpower requirements with department heads.
- Screen profiles, schedule interviews, and coordinate the selection process.
- Manage employee onboarding, documentation, and induction activities.
Payroll & Attendance Management
- Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and shift schedules.
- Coordinate payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
- Support monthly payroll processing and salary disbursement activities.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including:
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Employee State Insurance (ESI)
- Professional Tax (PT)
- Factory and labour law compliances
- Maintain statutory registers and records for audits and inspections.
Employee Relations
- Address employee grievances and provide HR support.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies.
- Support implementation of HR policies and procedures.
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Handle confirmation, promotion, transfer, and separation processes.
- Manage Full & Final settlement activities for exiting employees.
Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training and skill development programs.
- Maintain training records and monitor training effectiveness.
Employee Engagement
- Organize employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
- Support internal communication and employee welfare programs.
HR Reporting & MIS
- Prepare HR reports related to manpower, attendance, attrition, and payroll.
- Maintain HR MIS and provide reports to management.
Required Skills
- 8-12 Years of Experience in HR Generalist role will be preffered
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Experience in payroll and attendance management
- Recruitment and employee relations handling
- HR documentation and compliance management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HR ERP systems
