Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure high reliability and uptime of electrical systems, production equipment, and utilities in an automotive component manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial electrical systems, and a proactive approach to preventive and corrective maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines, electrical panels, motors, VFDs, servo drives, PLCs, sensors, and safety circuits.

  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical breakdowns quickly while identifying root causes and corrective actions.

  • Maintain electrical utilities including transformers, HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS, and power distribution while ensuring safety and compliance.

  • Support machine installation, commissioning, and validation for new lines and equipment.

  • Maintain maintenance records, SOPs, electrical schematics, and spare parts inventory.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, safety, engineering) for maintenance planning and continuous improvement initiatives (TPM/Kaizen).

  • Apply safety best practices, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), PPE compliance, and safe work permits.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics / Industrial Electrical or similar discipline.

  • 3–7 years of electrical maintenance experience in the manufacturing or automotive component industry.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, drives, control circuits, PLCs, and motor controls.

  • Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial machines, panels, and utilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Mitsubishi).

  • Exposure to automation and control systems.

  • Knowledge of energy management and power factor correction.

  • Experience in a ISO/IATF 16949 audited environment.
