Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Engineer with a background in mechatronics or embedded systems to support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing of embedded automotive software. This role is ideal for candidates with 2–4 years of experience who enjoy simulation-based validation of control systems. You’ll work primarily with IPG TruckMaker for vehicle simulation and begin by working with STM32 platforms, with the opportunity to transition into RH850-based development as you grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HiL testing of embedded software using IPG TruckMaker to simulate real-world vehicle dynamics and scenarios.
- Integrate and validate application-layer software on STM32 microcontrollers; transition to RH850 over time.
- Use Vector CANalyzer (required) to monitor and analyze CAN bus communication and inject test signals.
- Simulate and verify system-level behavior of mechatronic subsystems (e.g., actuators, sensors) in a closed-loop environment.
- Develop and maintain HiL test cases, fault injection scenarios, and test data configurations using IPG TruckMaker.
- Work with automotive protocols such as CAN, LIN, and UDS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug and resolve integration issues.
- Operate lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) for low-level signal troubleshooting when needed.
- Document test procedures, results, and system issues clearly and systematically.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in embedded systems development or testing.
- Hands-on experience with STM32 microcontrollers.
- Proficiency with Vector CANalyzer (required) for CAN traffic analysis and diagnostics.
- Basic programming experience in C/C++.
- Familiarity with IPG TruckMaker or similar vehicle dynamics simulation tools.
- Understanding of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
- Solid hardware handling skills and comfort working in lab environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to RH850 microcontrollers or willingness to ramp up on RH850 development.
- Experience with mechatronic components (motors, actuators, sensors).
- Familiarity with automated test scripting (e.g., CAPL, Python).
- Understanding of control systems and real-time embedded behavior.
- Interest in automotive technology, especially in simulation-based validation workflows.
