• Worked in UK for 7 years with Vickers Armstrong, Guest Keen & Nettlefolds and Joseph Lucas company.
• Decided to move back to India in 1966 and started Madras Engineering Industries
• A generous supporter of schools and hospitals including Sankara Nethralaya
• Ardent in education, health, women’s employment, temple renovation, water supply and sanitation program.
• Transformed his ancestral village of Thandalam near Arakonam.
• Served on the national executive committee of ACMA and as the chairman of CII Southern region.
• Served on the boards of several companies and had a long association with Pricol as Director.
